Vineyard Pivot

A new paddock for Eastbrook Vegetable Farms in 2023. This new pivot site was created by removing an old chardonnay planting in our vineyard. The chardonnay variety didn’t do very well in the market and the opportunity to add another pivot site was the obvious choice. The pivot is surrounded on 2 sides by vines and grazing land on the others. The soil in the site has a light sand which transitions to a sandy clay as one heads southeast towards Lake Alexandrina. This being the first year we have produced Brussels sprouts from the paddock we are looking forward to seeing what can be produced.
