Double Gate
This is the last full pivot circle that forms part of the Langhorne Creek property on Dog Lake Road. Its name comes from being accessed by 2 double gates from off Dog Lake Road. It has native vegetation scrub on its southern side and open cropping fields around it. The centre of the irrigation pivot sits on top of the light white sandhill which makes up much of the soil of the pivot. The field slopes away from this centre point to the south, west and north into heavy reddish loam soils. These contrasting soil types can be a little tricky for irrigation and fertiliser however with care can be managed successfully.
