Bore patch
This paddock is part of our Nairne property, just north of the original Eastbrook Vegetable Farm property. Bore patch paddock is on a property which was purchased around the turn of the millennium. When it was originally acquired there was a bore casing pipe extending out of the ground and an electricity pole which in the past supplied power to the bore pump. This infrastructure created an obstacle when planting, cultivating and harvesting so they were removed making the navigation of the field much easier. The soil starts of along the ridge with a heavy loam and transitions to a silty loam as one travels down the southerly slope. The paddock has majestic gums along the eastern edge and variegated willows along the northern fence line.
